Dear Friend

I have been asked by my friend and aviation/military colleague, Mr. Tony Soulis, Army Veteran, to assist in collecting signatures on a petition to our federal government to gain permission to build the monument called, Never to be Forgotten”. Detailed documentation is attached.  My apologies for not personally addressing this email to each one of you, but we don’t have a lot of time.

The monument is similar to the iconic monument at Vimy Ridge in France.  It would show mother Canada holding her arms open to welcome home the souls of all Canadians who never returned from the wars. Her arms would be open out on the Atlantic Ocean, standing on the shore of Cape Breton on the Cabot Trail. The land is under federal jurisdiction. Unfortunately, the Ottawa system turned down the proposal at the official’s level, so we need Parliament’s support.

Please read the documentation and sign the petition. One needs to be a Canadian citizen. I am also asking you to forward it to family and friends, we need 1000 signatures to get to parliament, we have about 500 now. However, the more signatures the better. The deadline is June 2, 2021
