Sierra Industries Attracts Hawker Beechcraft Customers
with new San Antonio Maintenance Facility

SAN ANTONIO, TX – December 7, 2012 – With the announced closing of the Hawker-Beechcraft factory service center in San Antonio, longtime South Texas aircraft center Sierra Industries, Ltd. is poised to support HBC customers across the south central United States. In November 2012, Sierra added a new maintenance facility at San Antonio International Airport (KSAT). For regional HBC aircraft owners, the proximity of an experienced maintenance and upgrade shop like Sierra provides an attractive, affordable alternative to the few remaining HBC factory service centers.

Long known in aviation circles for their innovative engine, airframe and avionics modifications for Cessna Citation aircraft, Sierra has offered world-class aircraft inspection and maintenance services for three decades. Sierra also enjoys substantial experience in maintenance and modifications for Hawker 400, 800 and King Air models. Recently, Hawker Beechcraft Corporation selected Sierra to spearhead the development and installation of their XPR engine, avionics and winglet retrofit programs for the Hawker 400 and 800 business jet series.

Sierra CEO Mark Huffstutler states, “Since our earliest days as a company, we have dedicated ourselves to taking the best legacy aircraft and making them better – offering higher performance, efficiency and utility. Hawker Beechcraft trusts us to handle their new XPR modification programs – the only time they’ve utilized an outside firm for such work – and we believe that gives HBC aircraft owners the confidence to rely on Sierra for their inspection and maintenance needs.”
